The Nevada Housing Coalition recognizes the critical role that our affordable housing inventory shortage plays in our affordable housing crisis. In fact, from 2021 through 2022, NHC took on several special initiatives to support our affordable housing developer members including the special task force to develop the recommendation for the $500 million commitment of state American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to affordable housing (Home Means Nevada Initiative) and the extra research and consulting to support our developers and the State as they worked to interpret the U.S. Treasury Final Rule.

As we end this amazing year, we would like to follow up on our soft request this past summer when NHC brought in Glenn Graff from Applegate & Thorney-Thomsen, Attorneys at Law, to provide expert insights into the Final Rule and draft a memo on behalf of the Coalition for the State’s consideration to maximize these ARPA dollars for affordable housing.
