Our Mission
To promote the development and preservation of affordable housing for all Nevadans through collaboration, education, and advocacy.
Have you heard about our Affordable Housing Day at the Legislature? We are excited to gather together on May 1st to share the importance of affordable housing with our State Legislators and Special Guests. I hope you can join us and encourage you to register soon so we can count you for lunch and have a packet waiting for you.
As I’m sure you know, we’re actively involved in the 2023 Legislative Session and have been busy advocating and educating on affordable housing with our State leaders. Just last week NHC Board Member, Brooke Page, and I supported Assemblywoman Daniele Monroe-Moreno and the first hearing for AB310 which, if passed, would transform Nevada’s approach to supportive housing and homelessness. Our Letter of Support for this bill received over 70 signatures in less than 24 hours with another 30 supporters providing their support either in-person or via phone. Amazing! The bill received no opposition.
If you’d like to stay up-to-date on our policy work this session, and are not already a member, I encourage you to join the Coalition. NHC Members receive frequent updates including a weekly bill tracking matrix and calls to action, when needed.
Read on to learn about other upcoming events, check out the recently released GAP Report, as well as updates from our Partners and Members.

We may be in different vehicles, in different lanes, going different speeds, but we are all moving in one direction: DESTINATION: Housing. Join us on May 1st to share, listen and learn with our State Legislators and Special Guests.
Lunch will be provided, and NHC Members can reserve their very own “Pit Stop”, information table, for our Legislators to visit. By registering, you will help us with a headcount for lunch, and we’ll have a name tag and informational folder for you.
With so many bills in front of them on a daily basis, our elected officials count on your voices to help them understand their role in the solutions that move us along the road to DESTINATION: Housing.
